Akash Radio

Akash Radio is a community radio station catering to the Panjabi and South Asian communities in the North of England. It began broadcasting on 27 June 2002 on 1323 AM and DAB in Leeds, Bradford, and across West Yorkshire. On air are various shows, discussions, news, religious sermons, as well as music genres such as Bhangra, Bollywood, and Hindi. The broadcast also includes the Hukamnama live from Sri Harimandar Sahib, Amritsar. Gurmail Singh Sahota is the founder and owner.
